Get involved with Lands Village Hall to make a difference in your community. Lands Village Hall is a charitable trust, upholding the principle of the local community supporting and enjoying the facilities. Active involvement in our work is a great way to meet new people, learn new skills, and get out of the house and do something different for a few hours. Also, it is beneficial to your well-being and mental health.
Above all, you don’t have to volunteer your time: there are many ways to engage in our activities.
Get involved: become a member
First, you can become a member of the Association. Membership offers you several benefits and means you will be helping us increase our core funding. In addition, this revenue helps us continue our work in the community.
Get involved: become a volunteer
Secondly, you can become a volunteer. Undoubtedly, we always look for people to engage in everything we do. It doesn’t matter if you have limited time and resources; there’s always something to do. For example, if you are good at or want to learn about:
- organising events (or want to try your hand at it);
- baking cakes;
- making teas and coffees;
- talking to neighbours and making new friends;
- planning fundraising events;
- posting leaflets through doors;
- updating a website;
- learning computer skills;
- helping with renovations work;
- project managing, and more.
In short, we have something to interest you! Our voluntary work ranges from short-term projects to long-term involvement in the Trust’s objectives.
Become a donor
Thirdly, you can become a donor. The Trust is always grateful for assistance from organisations, businesses and the public. We receive donations of skilled labour from tradesmen and women willing to help with renovations at a reduced cost, materials from suppliers, and contributions large and small from supporters. Indeed, these donations enable us to continue our work in the community.
Become a sponsor
Finally, if you are a business looking for community-based sponsorship opportunities; or want to support a community project, becoming a sponsor might be right for you. For instance, we identify sponsorship opportunities from our planned activities and offer them on our website. However, if your organisation is looking for a specific opportunity not shown in our listing, let us know, and we will work with you.
