Dog Day: 26 March 2023, 10am–2pm Lands Village Hall
A chance for your to show your dog how much you love him/her at Lands Village Hall’s Dog Day! An event to support Dog Theft Awareness Day on 14 March.
Wellybix are providing the treats for the dogs, as well as the opportunity to buy some to take home. Hoomans can have light refreshments at the cafe, while the four-legged guests can try on a new coat at the All That Wag stall, or check out Larmar Star Pet supplies. Stray Aid and Hunwick Dog Parliament will also have stalls and give advice on responsible pet ownership. Our raffle will include prizes by Wellybix, the Feed Warehouse, and a £25 Off Peak Luxury voucher.
PCSO Steve Richardson will be on-hand to offer advice about keeping your pets safe. We will offer microchip scanning in case you’re not sure your pet is microchipped. And if you don’t have a microchip, you can get one while you’re here.
Doggy and hooman refreshments will be available. All dogs are welcome, and they can bring their hoomans as guests!
Call in at our event and then take a walk along the Gaunless river and Cockfield Fell in this special part of Teesdale. A route guide will be available for a 5.8km walk with interesting local sites along the way.

On 7 June 1940, a group of five local men bought the property and land from Henry Stobart and Company Limited for fifty pounds and constituted the Institution, enabling the building to be used in trust by the community.
In October 1965, the Institution was converted to a registered charity and became Lands Village Hall Association.
Lands Village Hall Trust believes in equality and diversity, and welcomes everyone through its doors. It is supported by Durham County Council and the local community.
