Lands Coffee Mornings

Regular coffee mornings first Tuesday every month 10am—12.30pm

Which cake will tempt you at our coffee mornings?

Lands Coffee Mornings

Join us for one of our regular mornings on the first Tuesday of every month at Lands Village Hall. We open to the community and visitors to provide a warm welcome, coffee, and—most importantly,—cakes!

Whether you want a quiet coffee reading a book, some friendly social interaction, or indulge in cake (who doesn’t), the first Tuesday of the month is the date to mark on your calendar. You can make it your regular stop on your Cockfield Fell walk, your cycle ride, or your dog walk. (Dogs, cats and cyclists welcome).

We opened our coffee mornings for the first time on 2 May for a charity event raising money for Marie Curie. It was a popular and sociable morning that everyone enjoyed. We plan to run occasional special charity days. For these mornings, all proceeds will go to the nominated charity and they will be identified on Facebook and in our regular programme.

We offer real coffee, good tea, and a range of cakes. Cake flavours may vary from day to day and your challenge will be to only have one slice! All refreshments (including cakes) are just £1 each.

Follow us on Facebook for more information and regular updates.

Lands Village Hall was built in the 1870s or 1880s for the local miners. It became the village hall in 1955 and has been run by a charitable trust ever since. Lands Village Hall Trust believes in equality and diversity, and welcomes everyone through its doors. It is supported by Durham County Council and the local community. The Trust is an active member of The Village Halls Consortium. We welcome the support of the local community and people from further afield. If you wish to support or contribute, please get in touch with us.
