Lands Village Hall
Following the success of our first Dog Day in 2023, we will be repeating the experience this year and invite you to join us for our Dog Day 2024.
There will be activities to entertain pooches and hoomans alike, including outdoor activities (weather permitting), indoor stalls to purchase treats, get advice from the experts, and pamper the pooch. Refreshments will be available from Lands Village Hall on the day.

Lands Village Hall was built in the 1890s for the local miners. It started life as a reading room for the miners and later became the village’s schoolroom.
On 7 June 1940, a group of five local men bought the property and land from Henry Stobart and Company Limited for fifty pounds and constituted the Institution, enabling the building to be used in trust by the community.
In October 1965, the Institution was converted to a registered charity and became Lands Village Hall Association.
Lands Village Hall Trust believes in equality and diversity, and welcomes everyone through its doors. It is supported by Durham County Council and the local community.
